Here is a sweet little session with these ladies. Donielle, who is a longtime friend, contacted me about wanting to do photos with her grandma and mom for Mother’s Day. What a great idea for a gift! I had the perfect mother’s day photo special going on.

I captured three generations in this Visalia family photography session. Three generations – that’s pretty nifty to me! Happy birthday to Donielle’s granny for turning 93 the other day! Simply amazing.

I’m so excited to share this styled woodland wedding on the blog. I am really into woodsy weddings and what better place to do it than photographing it locally in Fresno. We have so many natural settings that it was perfect. Lucky for me, I did end up finding a spot that was still green even with this heat that feels like summer when it really is spring.

I would like to thank all the lovely vendors that worked with me to make this wedding portrait possible. I would also like to thank my lovely husband for helping a great deal with rental transportation.

Emily and Allison were so fun to photograph. Emily is eight years of age and Allison is six. These two were so photogenic that the camera just loves capturing their happiness!

Jeff and Anna were married at Copper River Country Club in Fresno, Ca. Jeff had visited Anna and her family in the Philippines and it was instant love.

Anna’s family flew in from the Philippines for this wedding. So awesome! I love Filipino weddings. I was instantly asked where in the Philippines I was from when I entered the room where the girls were getting ready because Mark had told them that I was Filipina too. Lol. At that instance, I knew this wedding was going to be great. The family members were all so very friendly. I especially got along so well with Anna’s sister Mags, who happens to own a lot of boutiques in the Philippines named after herself.

This wedding was so unique as the bride and groom had an anniversary dance during the reception for all those married for a certain amount of years. They started off by announcing couples who were married for more than 50 years to come out to the dance floor. To everyone’s amazement, Anna’s parents had stepped on to the floor. How amazing is that to be married for 50 years? Anna’s mother wore a beautiful traditional Filipino dress. I loved how something so simple as a dress adds so much culture to a wedding.

The Business Journal won a statewide journalism award for its 2012 Relocate Fresno County special supplement.

The Business Journal took a second-place award in the Better Newspapers Contest presented each year by the California Newspaper Publishers Association. The winners were announced this weekend in Southern California.

Relocate — a guide to the Central Valley for professionals living out of the area who are moving or considering a move to Fresno County — won second place in the Special Section category for papers with circulation up to 11,000 people.

Graphic artist Leah Canseco-Decker designed the publication.

The Business Journal is also up for a national award from The Alliance of Area Business Publications. The award winners will be announced at the annual AABP Summer conference being held in June in Nashville, Tenn.

This was a quick mini session. These two are adorable! Moriah and Justin were so good in front of the camera. They must have done it before, but they said they have never!

Candace and Dave had their wedding at the Cambria Pines Lodge in Cambria, Ca. I love this venue! It has several pretty gardens throughout the property which is perfect for wedding photography. I enjoyed this wedding very much. I loved the long chiffon bridesmaid dresses, Frank Sinatra, and good company – reminds me of my own wedding.

Candace and Dave did their first look by the well. How awesome is it that the Cambria Pines Lodge has a well? It was one of the first things I saw on the property and immediately fell in love with. The bride and groom planned the wedding at the perfect time of the year because the wisteria was blooming. I think the following week it stopped blooming. The weather was a bit chilly, but that is my kind of weather.

These two are so in love. It gives me butterflies looking at the way they look at each other, especially when Dave looks at Candace. Both families were really nice and welcoming. Matt started talking to Candace’s step grandma in Visayan! Haha. Candace’s mom is such a sweetheart! She even gave me a rose centerpiece to take home. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting every second of this wedding.

Angela is a former co-worker of mine who is the best inbound marketer I know! She is great at what she does. Angela and her husband Jose now live in the bay area. She had told me that they were visiting family so we scheduled to do this shoot. She just said she had an announcement, but didn’t say what it was. A couple days after scheduling this shoot, I had a dream that Angela was announcing that she was pregnant! Ha! I quickly told her and she said that I guessed right. Weird how dreams predict the truth.

Anyway, I always would joke with Angela asking her when she’s going to have a little Angela or little Jose. Lol Now it’s happening! They are going to have a little Angela, except her name will be Serenity. Congratulations you two!
