Shopify out of the box is great. Shopify with apps is even better because it can increase sales and make life easier. Shopify is an ecommerce platform that handles everything for you. These are my favorite Shopify apps to increase sales. Most of them are free apps with the exception for two that require a subscription after their free trial.

Consistent Cart syncs customer carts across all devices and reduces the abandon cart rate. It keeps track of every cart ever created in your store and gives you an insight in your store’s activities. With insights, you can learn what products get added often and what gets abandoned and you can rectify the situation.
Conversion Plus creates a sense of urgency and makes the customer feel like they could lose out on an appealing offer if they don’t commit to order immediately. It creates fear of missing out.
Countdown Cart by Bekeeting
Countdown timer creates urgency for your deals. It drives customer to buy before time runs out. It’s great for setting a time when a sale is going to expire.
Stock countdown displays the limited availability of products. It creates scarcity, increases the perceived value of products, and makes customers buy faster.
Social proof lets customers know how many people are viewing the product and how many items were sold, thus strengthen their buying confidence. Build trust and increase sales.
Easy Contact Form is a responsive and customizable contact form. I don’t like to plaster email address online as spammers get a hold of it. With Easy Contact Form, your customer doesn’t need your email. They can just fill out the form and it goes straight to your inbox.
Facebook Customer Chat Plugin is a real live chat app that interacts with customers to gain sales. This app will remind them what is also in their cart and if they would like to purchase it.
Kit is an official Facebook Marketing Partner for small business. Kit helps manage Instagram and Facebook ads, email marketing, and social posts to drive sales and grow business. Kit is basically like a personal assistant. Kit always knows what popular items are being searched for across many Shopify stores and suggests in promoting that item for your store.
Personalized Recommendations Increases sales by recommending similar products that the customer is viewing. It also suggests to them what others who bought the item also bought.
Privy is a must app for every store. Rapidly grow your email list and store sales with high converting pop-ups, spin to win, and offers with coupon codes. It integrates with many email marketing platform.
Trust Seals & Badges is free to try out for a few days. Grow your conversion rate by up to 72% with these seals that gives yours customers trust with your store. These seals are customizable to match your store’s branding colors.
Best shipping app for Shopify
MinMaxify sets minimum and maximum cart and item quantities. This app is especially handy if you are doing free plus shipping and only want the customer to be able to purchase a certain amount.
