If it’s one thing I learned from my yo yo dieting of 6 years, it’s that calories play a huge role in losing weight.

Well sure, I would consider it healthy… loaded with veggies and what not.

Just because you are eating healthy does not mean you are going to lose weight. I get so many people coming to me saying they eat healthy and can’t lose weight. Well, that’s because you are eating TOO MUCH. It doesn’t matter if you eat healthy or not, if you eat too much you aren’t going to lose weight.

I calculated this salad as a little over 900 cals. I only had a tbsp of the blue cheese and a little of the dressing. This is probably a 1500 cal salad if I had all the dressing and blue cheese. If you’re trying to lose weight, well… you can’t be eating this whole thing for one of your meals. I guarantee you that you won’t lose weight. So many people eat salads because they think it’s healthy, then they don’t realize all the stuff they load it with is enough to equal steak and potatoes, or a hamburger with fries. I don’t know about you, but if I wanted to eat that much calories, I would go for the steak and potato or burger and fries.

I just want to make sure that you understand that eating on calorie deficit alone will change your weight, but eating on a calorie deficit with exercise will change your body composition.One pound is equal to 3500 calories. To lose a pound a week, a person must eat 3500 calories less a week from their maintenance, burn 3500 calories a week, or a combination of both. I just want to make sure that you understand that eating on calorie deficit alone will change your weight, but eating on a calorie deficit with exercise will change your body composition.
